Forth House Camping and Caravanning Site is a Certificated Site, reserved solely for the benefit of Camping and Caravanning Club Members. The site is over 1.5 acres and is restricted to five caravans, caravanettes and tents. The open site offers ample personal space for visitors with no specified pitches – pitch up where you like and admire the surroundings!

Setting the Scene
Our logo is a silhouette of Largo Law, an extinct volcano, and the Fife coast leading to the peninsula around North Queensferry. The site itself is set in a raised valley, formed between Largo Law and Flag Staff Hill, providing superb panoramic views over the Firth of Forth towards Edinburgh and beyond. Located at 167.52m above sea level provides spectacular seasonal change in the winter months.

Forth House was previously a working small holding formerly know as Tommy Tompsons. The original farm cottage was offset from the old cart tracks which lead to North East Fife to areas such as Colinsburgh, Elie, St Monans, Anstruther and Crail. Livestock and produce used to be taken to these villages to markets. Needless to say this no longer happens, however the picturesque country scene remains.

This site is surrounded by agricultural land containing livestock and crops providing a wonderful and peaceful setting for campers. We encourage people to admire and enjoy the surrounding area however frown on those who abuse it! Please ensure all dogs are kept on leads both when on and off the site.

Rally site overlooking the Firth of Forth towards Edinburgh

We are located approximately 400 yards from the Main Upper Largo to St Andrews road (A915) which is far enough away to restrict traffic noise and increase visitor’s safety but close enough to catch a bus on the main arterial road. Buses can be found on this road regularly leading to St Andrews, Dundee, Dunfermline, Edinburgh and also Glasgow, stopping in towns and villages between.

Our regular visitors enjoy the freedom of pitch selection in comparison to sites with set pitches. There are also seasonal visitors who visit for annual events within the area.

Facilities at Forth House Camping and Caravanning Site

Winter at Forth House

Seasonal Variation
We try our best to stay open all year round, however the weather sometimes doesn’t allow it.
Following torrential rain we occasionally close the site to protect the ground from being heavily damaged and to prevent you getting stuck!
In winter we are occasionally affected by heavy snow fall and as a result have to close. We can also receive very high winds, typically in January, in which case we advise visitors accordingly.
Having stated the above, we have rarely closed over the past few years. Closing the site is in the interest of visitors' safety. We advise that all visitors phone prior to departure, even after placing a booking.

Peace of mind
Everyone likes to enjoy themselves and relax when on a break or holiday so in order to avoid conflict we advise site rules and the Country Code are followed. It’s those who follow these rules that allow the site to have a docile atmosphere. The site provides spectacular views day and night, ideal for star gazers! So sit back and relax!
