Lodge farm CS Site Hideaway has been going for at least 20 years, Run by my Late husband and myself. I now run it on my own. The site is bordered by arable Land on Two sides. The Road to and from Sawtry is on the south side.The Bullock road runs along the west side of the farm. This is a Roman road. 3 Acres partly level. I also have a level stackyard where motor homes can park. Your own Sanitation is essential. We have Water taps and Sanitation disposal. Dogs on lead welcome. We accept Tents, Caravans, Motor homes and Trailer tents. The water taps Drinking water are on the side of the farm house. The non drinking water on the wall of the out house. Chemical disposal is near the conservatory, it is well marked. This is an ideal site, If you enjoy walking. A very quite and peaceful site, Lots of wild life. Hammerton Wildlife centre is only 2.03 miles from the site. One of the walks takes you to "Little Gidding", Where the Church is the smallest church in Huntingdonshire. For extra security I have had a Barrier erected at the top road, leading to the farm. Will members please email me and I will let them know the code after they give me their membership number. Attractions close to Lodge Farm, Camping Park
Sawtry is halfway between Huntingdon and Peterborough at the westernmost edge of the fens originally the three parishes of All Saints, St. Andrews and St. Judith. The village itself, an extensive one, appears mostly quite modern including the present church, which was built in 1880. The site of a Romano-British settlement lies under the A1 and the site of a Cisterian Monastery (demolished in King Henry's time) is clearly visible. There is also a Scheduled Ancient Monument known as Sawtry There is also a variety of shops, Ex-Service and Workingmen’s Social Club and two pubs in the village, Greystones and The Bell. Hamerton Zoological Park is nearby, as well as the animals, it has picnic and gardens, cafe, 2 play areas and gift shop. Alovely day out for all the family. Also nearby is Huntington where you will find the Cromwell Museum, Grafham Water Sailing Club, Brampton Park Golf Club, Sawtry Leisure Centre which includes Swimming Pool, Sports Hall, Impressions Fitness Suite, Fitness Classes, Sunbed, Outdoor Synthetic Pitch, Children’s Activities, Children’s Parties and Crèche. Godmanchester Community Swimming Pool. Hemingford Abbots Golf Range, the Golf Centre has a 38 bay floodlit range, powered tees and uses proper 2 piece balls. It also has a superb teaching academy using the latest in video technology. Direct golf also has a superstore at the centre which is open 7 days a week. Old Nene Golf and Country Club, Pidley Paintball, it is located between Cambridge and Peterborough in the village of Pidley - 5 miles northeast of the A14. |

Nearest Public House is 1.3 miles back to the Sawtry Village called The Greystones. You turn right onto Green End Road, then approx 20 yds turn left into Greystones carpark, they also serve food. There is a Takeaway opposite, they also serve Fish and Chips. |

Traveling from The north
From the A1M, you take the Junction 15. to Sawtry.at the Rounderbout take 2nd Turning Right. you follow signs to Sawtry, Turn right around the Roundbout 2nd turning across the flyover at the next rounderbout take the 3rd turning onto Fen lane, follow the signs to Hammerton Wildlife Centre,onto The Gidding road. Proceed for 1.03 miles. At the top of the hill, turn Right onto the farm roadway. There is a Camping and Caravanning site poster, also a Black board with B M Griffiths displayed on it. Travelling from the South From A1M. You take Junction 15. At the Rounderbout Take the 3nd turn Follow the signs for Hammerton Wildlife Centre Take care as you come off the Roundabout, as the turn for The A1M is close to the 3rd turn this will lead you to Fen lane. Follow the road to a small rounderbout straight over.follow road around until you come to a keep left sign, straight over onto the Gidding Road. Proceed for 1.03miles. At the top of the hill, Turn right onto the farm roadway. There is a camping and Caravanning poster,on a telegraph pole, with a black board, displaying my name B M Griffiths.
