Description
We are situated just one mile from the quaint village of Steeple Ashton, which has a beautiful church, some very old and interesting houses and a pub with a very good reputation for its food. Nestling down a small country lane on a 4-acre smallholding, over an acre of which is available for our visitors. This level/gently sloping site is well sheltered but set in open countryside with wide ranging views. Whether you just want to sit back and relax, maybe read a book and listen to the bird song, wander round the orchard vegetable and flower gardens or maybe help feed some of the several animals on site you are assured of a quiet and relaxing stay. At the present time we have a sow and her litter of pigs, two pygmy goats and a couple of Jacob cross sheep. Being in the quiet spot we are beyond the end of the electricity supply so no hook-ups are available, but batteries can be given a boost charge for a couple of hours daily whilst we have the generator running. We have full club requirements for this size site plus a shower, W.C. and hot water hand basin. |

There is a bus stop in the village (a few buses a day) and a shop. The village is about a mile away, so near enough to walk.

Directions
3 miles south of Melksham, follow signpost to Steeple Ashton. Go south through village for 0.2 miles, turn 1st left by high red brick wall. Fork immediately right. Site is 0.7 miles down no through road, along the concrete drive on the right. Lane is single vehicle width but there are plenty of passing spaces, and easy turning on site.
