General Description of Acacia Farm Camping and Caravanning Park, Somerset
Acacia Farm Campsite is a small family run site conveniently situated not far from the M5 motorway but tucked away from the main road in a quiet spacious setting of a 5 acre field, with 5 generous sized hardstandings and grass pitches with electric hook ups. Located in the small village of Rooksbridge on the Somerset levels it boasts a village pub and Post office shop which are within easy walking distance. There is plenty to do in the area from walking cycling fishing to visiting places of interest or relaxing on the beach, the popular seaside towns of Burnham on Sea and Weston Super Mare are close by as well as the beaches of Brean Down and its Leisure Park for children's entertainment. Cheddar and Wookey caves are close by and you can't leave without a taste of the original Cheddar cheese and a glass of cider before on route to Glastonbury for its mystic and magical attraction and a walk up to the famous Tor for its splendid views. Plenty of beautiful walks to be taken across the Mendips or Cheddar Gorge, for the cyclist the levels are ideal as very flat and there are one or two country pubs to sample for refreshment is always a good option. If fishing is your thing then there are well-stocked private lakes close by as well as Blagdon Reservoir and the River Axe. |
