Cedar Gables campsite is a small family run site, situated on the borders of Kent and Sussex, in the heart of the great British countryside.

Located off the A21, London to Hastings road, the site is very easy to find, and located near to many beautiful and fascinating attractions.

Tents, caravans and motorhomes are all accepted subject to availability. The campsite is well away from the road, and bordered on three sides by trees protecting you from the wind.

The site is run and managed by Jo Morgan, with help from her husband and son.


Facilities at Cedar Gables Camping Park
Facilities include heated showers (operated on a token system), toilets and washbasins, drinking water, electric hook-ups, children's adventure playground with sand pit, and two concrete hard standings for motorhomes.

Adjacent to the campsite is a footpath to Bewl Water. A walk to the water takes around 10 minutes, and then a further 15 to the visitors center.

Opposite the site is a footpath to Bedgebury Pinetum, about a 30 minute walk.

Attractions close to Cedar Gables Camping Park
Bewl Water 10 minutes walk, or a 2 minute drive away. Bewl is a huge man made lake which offers a 12.5 mile walk or bike ride (summer only) through the idyllic Kentish countryside.

Bewl Water Outdoor Center A 2 minute drive or a 30 minute walk (via adjoining footpath) the outdoor center offers sailing, canoeing, climbing and various other activities.

Royal Tunbridge Wells Situated about 10 miles away, Tunbridge Wells, one of the largest towns in Kent, has many attractions, including the natural iron wells, many designer shops and local heritage tours.

In the area, there are many national trust properties and gardens, such as Scotney Castle, Bodium Castle, and Sissinghurst gardens.


Places to eat
The nearest pubs to Cedar Gables are around a mile away. South bound is the Royal Oak pub in Flimwell, and North bound is the Brown Trout in Lamberhurst. Also, the Globe and Rainbow pub situated in Kildown is just under 1 mile away.

Restaurant wise, there is the Little Chef opposite us, perfect for breakfast. Tunbridge wells also offers a wide array of restaurants, ranging from pizza to the five star bistro, the Hotel Du Vin.

The Star and Eagle in Goudhurst (4 miles) is highly recommended.

Hastings, 18 miles due South, is the closest sea side town with typical attractions and restaurants.

Directions
Located Halfway between the villages of Flimwell and Lamberhurst on the A21. If you are heading south, we are two miles south of Lamberhurst. You will see a Little Chef Restaurant on the left. Travel another 100 yards and you will see our sign on the right after a high wooden fence.

If you are travelling north, we are two miles from the Flimwell crossroads. Travel down the dual carriageway and then on for about another mile. You will see our sign on the left, 100 yards before the Little Chef Restaurant.

Our driveway is forked. Please ensure that you take the right fork, towards a wooden shingled house.
